The tree king

The tree king

Yesterday I did some shopping before going to a movie. In between the two I had some time to wait. Fortunately, it was sunny and warm enough (barely) for a sketch outside.

I went to the base of Cath├ędrale Marie-Reine-du-Monde and sketched the back of the Monument to Ignace Bourget. The trees are from across the street in Dorchester square.

The pigeon kept flying between the trees and his favourite lookout point.

I would have liked to have captured more of the park across the street, but it was getting chilly and my concentration was more focused on a warm coffee than on drawing at this point.

  1. So many statues in that block - one day we'll get them all :)

  2. Cool style! Eek, I don't think I could draw in the cold!
