Degas's statue of the Little Dancer of Fourteen Years, currently on display at Musée des Beaux Arts in Montreal as part of the Once upon a time... Impressionism exhibit.
I had a walk through on Sunday and had a sketch. It was quite busy in the exhibit so I was impressed with myself for having enough patience to even attempt drawing. I had tried two weeks earlier when there were a few tour groups there – the crowd was so big I could barely walk by without knocking her over.
One thing about the Little Dancer – she is really little! Barely two feet tall. This is not the original, but one of the casts made by the family around 1919-1921.
