Bloom where you're planted

I think Penelope Dullaghan's mother was onto something when she wrote this (most mothers are very bright, you know). When I read Penelope's post the other day, I had to paint it into my sketchbook. A good thought to keep note of.

Watercolour often doesn't work on Moleskin sketchbook paper, it mottles along the surface and doesn't really grab onto the paper. But in this case I like the effect. Does look rather bloomy, doesn't it?

Please go read Penelope's original post here.

  1. Yes, I agree: downright "bloomy!" Pretty, pretty pink around a great sentiment. :)

  2. I agree with you too! I like the texture. I also love this quote-- seems to be the lesson of my life.
