On January 2nd of this year, I posted my first entry of the year for Illustration Friday. The theme was Renewal (look back here) and I resolved to draw more and continue to post for Illustration Friday. I said that I would see how far I would get.
Well, it is now the end of the year - I managed to post 32 Illustration Fridays during the year (not bad). I continued to draw, I did 3 of the Pikaland courses plus Jamie Shelman's first solo course. During the year, I made some great new illustration friends - who I continue to follow and hope to keep on following as well as meeting many more (Illustrators are definitely a great bunch of folk). I tweeted, I facebooked, I created a portfolio and started my own Etsy shop, not to mention 105 other blog posts besides IF. I even illustrated a first book. I never thought back in January that I would have done all this.
Now 2010 did kinda stink in some ways, but at least for this aspect, it was the tops. 2011 already has a few new projects brewing and I am looking forward to what will come along the way.
I wish you all a happy new year - may all your inks (and leads, and paints and whatevers) flow.
